It's dark outside and the air is filled with the sound of summer rain on the leafs. I love this and just want to make a short blog post before I crawl into my bed and listen to the sound of the rain and the calm snorring of my daughter in sleep.
I finished some cute baby socks as welcome gift for a friends baby.
The wool is from finkhof (I think) and handdyed (but I don't remember what dye I used. Onion skin maybe.) Btw, does anyone know how the Finkhof sock yarn is treated, washing wise? Can I wash it with 40° or does it need to be handwashed?
Wanted to add a little baby cap, but somehow the gauge didn't fit at all, so the hat turned out to be rather huge, or at least too huge for a baby, but still a tiny bit too small for my daughter. what a pity. But as she liked the cap, I will knit her another one, too. She loves all kind of hats and caps.
The pattern for the cap can be found here.
I also hopped on the dishcloth train and made this one (in reality it really is black). Pre-producing for christmas so to say. I already have a friend in mind whom it fits perfectly. Nice to get rid of my stash and leftover of cotton yarn. In reality the black is really dark black.
Pattern would be from here
